11,000 cubic feet per minute of cool air - 20° cooler than ambient - can be delivered to the rig environment. Focused columns of cool air are directed exactly toward our hot spots. Cooling can be increased in 3700 CFM increments to fit your workplace.
Bazookas deliver high velocity cool air columns through our patented JetPorts. Water is flash evaporated into the air stream at the Jetport exit. The water vapor is absorbed in the first 3 to 5 feet of travel. From that point you have a cool dry air column that can be trained on your critical work areas. Your crew will experience cool air where needed to enable successful completion of tasks.
Bazookas come in two sizes. The Little Bazooka (above) has five ports delivering over 2100 CFM of cooled air. This system is deployed in strategic areas - cooling rig crews where needed to enhance
productivity.
The Big Bazooka is 20 feet long and has deceleration of the cool air columns (chart at right) is a key factor in sizing and placing bazookas in the areas of highest needs.
System Configuration & Basic Components
Bazooka systems are supported by a potable water supply fed through a high pressure (1,000 psi) water pump sized to the total number of JetPorts. The pump can be remotely located in the tool house. One pump usually serves all Bazookas on a rig. The pump and Bazookas are connected by high pressure nylon tubing cable of runs over 400 feet. The pump and all fittings are high strength brass and high pressure brass compression. Installation is straight forward and rapid.
The high pressure ruby tipped water nozzles operate up to 1200 PSI and contain a 100 PSI check valve.
They are the most advanced and maintenance free nozzles available. They will resist clogging longer than any other style and can easily be cleaned and returned to service and never leave the site.
UL XL rated fans built into each Bazooka operate at 115V and draw 7.1 amps for the Little Bazooka and 12.4 amps for the Big Bazooka. If required, fan speed can managed by a motor controller.
